That Love is all there is,
Is all we know of love;
It is enough, the freight should be
Proportioned to the groove.
I love this poem. I found this poem from The collection of Emily Dickinson's poems whose title is The Loneliness One Dare Not Sound.
After a month I read this beautiful poem, I found that this poem is quoted in another book. But the translation of the poem is slightly different from each other. The book, which quoted the poem, is Grief is the thing with feathers.

Can you see the difference? The one in the right side is from the collection of poems, and the one in the left side is from Grief is the thing with feathers. I like the left side one more. I think that the version is more close to the original one's meaning. I interpreted the poem like the right side one when I read the English version of the poem, Love is everything but it makes people suffered somewhat.
Literature and translating literature are interesting. Actually, I didn't like reading poems or books that much. I became to love to read after I had entered college. I didn't realize that books and poems are exciting things back then, I guess that is because I thought the books and poems are something that I have to find the right answers from it to get a good grade.
I saw that Kim Yeongha, a famous writer, saying that he refused an offer which is quoting his novel into the textbook. He explained that he refused it because he thinks there are no such things as one and only right answer in novels. In Korea, students are taught to interpret novels only in a given way and forced to choose the right answer from given choices in the exam. Isn't it sad...? Now I am no longer have to find the right answer which is decided randomly by someone, so I can fully enjoy reading. Still, It is a real shame about the Korean education. I am not in education, but I hope Korean literature class to be renovated!
